1-Start with a block letter “Y”.
2-Add “V” letters to tops of the “Y”.The “V” should be smaller than the “Y”.Leave the tops open.
3-Add four more “V” shapes.
4-Add eight more “V” shapes to each end.Skinnier and smaller.Branches grow up and outward.
5-Add stick letter “Y”‘s to all of the “V” shapes.UNEVEN is good! Draw some long and some short.
6-Add another “Y” in the middle (this fills up space).
7-Add as many “Y” shapes as you need to fill up space.
8-Shade.
For leaves, draw small swirls over the branches then gently blend. Erase areas for highlights.
Your tree won’t look exactly like this but that’s good! Every tree is unique.
