The United States Postal Service (USPS) processes over 154 billion pieces of mail per year. You won’t find any bills in this shiny metal receptacle once you add your unique touches to it!
STEP 1-Start with two oval shapes that will be the front and back of the box. Connect with parallel lines as shown that cut through each oval.

STEP 2-Draw a short line at a slight angle inside the bottom front oval. Erase the part of the guideline that goes through that oval. Draw a curved hook at top for door handle. Draw a flag at the top and the stand at the bottom.

STEP 3-Add beveled door edge and lines across top to indicate tone changes.

STEP 4-Erase parts of original oval guideline no longer needed. Add a light layer of tone to the box. Press harder around the lines across the top draw step 3, leaving the area between them white.

STEP 5-Blend tones with a blending tool. Add a beveled edge around the front door, leaving the tone on the left sides of each edge of the door lighter. Add tone to flag and darker tone to top of handle. Use kneaded eraser to remove tone, leaving a stripe of white across the length of the box for a textured line.

Extra time: Blend more. Erase a spot on the handle for a highlight. Add grommets to bottom length of the mailbox. Shade the base, leaving a length of white for a shiny spot.
