Suggested for Possible Characters:
- Sarcastic characters
- Confident girls
- Cheeky friends
The basic shape of this eye design is more realistic. Draw a long, gentle slope for the upper eyelid.

Draw the bottom lid curving down. If you were to close the gap, the basic shape could resemble a leaf.

Draw another slope under the upper lid to create the thickness. It gets thinner at the corner.

Draw a skinny triangle down to create the other side of the eye. Then, draw a big iris looking back.
If you want the eye looking in another direction, change the placement of the iris.

Shade in the eyelid and corners for the eye to stand out.

TIP: If you want a character to look like they have a lot of eyeliner or makeup on, try making the eyelids even thicker to really stand out.
In the iris, draw a halfcircle for the highlight.
Then, draw a slanted line for part of the shading coming up.

Shade the iris under the highlight. Try not to shade the highlight, as that’s the brightest part of the eye.
Draw a few lines for a nice shading effect.

Draw a crease above the upper lid to show more of the structure of the eye under the skin.
For fun, add some blush lines below!

Add a nice, long eyebrow and some luscious lashes!

Finalize your drawing by inking the lines, and filling in the eyebrow and shading to make your art stand out!
The arched eyebrow can make the character look confident or smug. It depends on how you draw the mouth.
