1-Start with an oval next to a very thin, slightly diagonal rectangle.
2-Draw two verticals coming from oval as shown. Add shape to left as shown.
3-Erase areas indicated by dash lines. Add curved shape at left as shown.
4-Add another shape inside the shape drawn in step 2. Erase dashed line areas.
5-Add a thin stripe that follows the contour of the flag as shown. Add curve at grave top.
6-Add another flag stripe and row of stars. Add a vertical line coming from the curve drawn in step 7.
7-Finish adding the 50 stars and 13 stripes. Simplify the number if needed.
8-Add stars and stripes to the flag pole. Draw jagged lines for grass. Erase dash lines.
9-Shade and add more detail as desired. 3D edge should be dark to indicate depth.
