1-Start with a modified cone shape.Add a curved petal.
2-Add two more organic petal shapes.Erase areas indicated by dash lines.
3-Draw two more petals as shown.
4-Add another petal. Draw two curves for a leaf shape.
5-Continue to draw leaf shapes and stem as shown.
6-Add pistils in center. Shade areas “under” the leaves and in the flower center.
7-Add the midtones and deepen the shadows. Draw light lines that follow petal and leaf contours.
8-Gently blend.As the shading deepens, the original outline of the drawing should become blended as well.
9-Erase lighter areas to indicate highlights. This will create more contrast.
