1-Start with a small circle with another circle inside of it.Use the outer circle as a guide to create a rounded, scalloped edge.

2-Draw two angled lines coming from the scalloped edge as shown.Close those lines with a curve.

3-Draw a tear-drop shape petal.Continue to draw “teardrops around the center as shown.

4-Add two parallel, vertical lines for a long lean stem.

5-Add two long, lean, organic leaf shapes.

6-Begin to shade the dark areas near flower center and petal tips.

7-Add the midtones to the flower and darken the deep shadows if needed. Draw light lines that follow the contour of the petals and leaves.

8-Gently blend. As the shading deepens, the original outline of the drawing should become blended as well.

9-Erase lighter areas to indicate highlights. This will create more contrast.
