1-Start with a wide oval.This will be the outer flower guideline. Add a smaller oval inside.

2-Connect a floret and seed as seen below to florets around the the center oval.This can be drawn as curved lines on a straight line.


3-Continue to draw the florets around the center oval using a rotational symmetry pattern.Leave on empty area near top and bottom.

4-Draw a triangular shaped base attached to the center oval with a long, thin stem.

5-Lightly shade the center oval and stem. Add another floret as shown.Start a second row of florets & seeds under the first.

6-Continue to draw a pattern of florets beneath the first row.

7-Finally, add a 3rd row of florets to fill the space.

8-Lightly smudge with a tissue or your finger to blend tones for a “fuzzy” look.

9-Draw a few random florets blowing in the wind.A dandelion flower head is composed of hundreds of smaller florets (top) & seed heads (bottom).
