This fierce yet cuddly looking creature dominates the icy wilderness at the top of the food chain. Use your skills and this tutorial to dominate this polar bear drawing.
Step 1: Draw a small circle for the head, a medium circle for the front of the body, and a larger circle-like shape for the rear. Notice the distance between each shape.

Step 2: Connect the shapes as shown. Add curves for a front and rear leg.

Step 3: Add facial features including extension for nose, curve for ear, and a tiny wedge-shaped eye. Finish legs.

Step 4: Fill in the nose and eyes with a dark tone. Using the edge of the pencil and a quick back-and-forth motion, fill in areas under the head, neck, belly, and legs to add a light tone that looks like a fur texture. Since polar bears are white, only a small amount of tone is needed.

Step 5: Gently blend tones to smooth them. Erase any parts of original circle guidelines no longer needed. Draw short hatch marks around the contour of the bear’s body to indicate fur.
