The giant panda’s distinctive black and white fur makes it one of the most recognizable animals on the planet. Use dark tones and light pencil pressure to create a likeness of this one-of-a-kind mammal.
Step 1: Start with a large circle for the body and smaller circle for the head. Two small half circles for the ears.

Step 2: Add stick legs, circle eye marks, and reshape base of body. Connect head with body using curves. Extend that curve downward into the body for the front shoulder.

Step 3: Erase parts of body circle no longer needed. Add thickness to stick legs. Add nose and mouth details.

Step 4: Add back-and-forth lines to fill in the contrasting areas of the bear. These short lines should follow the contour of the body and look like fur.

Step 5: Add some tone to the white areas, especially near the edges closest to the dark areas. Fill in eyes and ears, add tone to face. Smooth with bending tool.
