1-Draw a border outlining the shape of the doodle. It is common to use a small square shape (about three inches wide) as most doodles are created in one sitting.
Add a thin (very light) margin on each side as a border.

2-Draw sections of strings.Strings are lines that divide the shape into individual sections.
Strings can be symmetrical or asymmetrical, curved or not :you decide!

3-Make some of the strings more bold to add contrast and interest.

4- Fill one section with a repetitive pattern Don’t spend too much time planning the pattern, just draw..
…the pattern will reveal itself as the drawing unfolds!

5-Repeat filling each section with a different pattern.
Focus on the patterns being drawn and pay attention to each line.

6- Continue filling in the strings until all areas are balanced or filled up. Make sure there is contrast.
Keep going until you are done! Erase the border from step one.
