This flower does have a lot of detail to it, but It’s not that hard to do. You will need a couple of different colors for shading, but we’ll get to that at the end.
This is where recognizing shapes come in handy. You see the blue circle? That is our guide to drawing this flower.
1-Draw the circle. You can use a compass, cup, or other round object.
2-While staying inside the circle, draw the wavy circle inside it.
3-Add the little “U” shapes on the inside of the main part.

4-Start from the outside-in. This will make it easier to add the curves as you make your way to the middle of the Aster.

5-Working slowly, add the outer curves for the petals before you do the curves and “U” shapes closer to the middle.
6-Again, work outside-in, making the smaller curvy petals last.

7-This one is larger than the others so you can see how to add the rest of the curves for the petals.

Colors
We used a combination of purple, lavender, and maroon to make the shading on the inside of the flower.
