You can use pine trees in many ways: as elements in landscapes, in holiday cards (just add decorations and a star), or simply for daily drawing practice.
-Start with a triangle and two lines under it.
-Divide the triangle into parts, with the top having many smaller sections.
-Draw a free outline using the sections as a guide.
-Add lines extending inward from each of the tree points, to create volume.
-Under the extending lines, darken areas with pencil.
-Add lighter shading on the edges and on the tree trunk. For a summer look, shade it darker. Leaving portions white creates a snowy pine tree.
