You can draw mermaids facing you or turned away to highlight their flowing hair and their most distinctive feature: their tail.
1-Plot out the body with shapes. Notice that it’s a free-flowing form.
2-Add details such as the hair (mermaids usually have long, flowing tresses) and design the tail the way you want it.
3-Shade and define.
