We’ve all seen leaves on trees. The green is vibrant, and fill of life during the spring and summer months.
Things to take notice
-The stems grow out from the branch.
-The greens are gradients, meaning they get darker depending on where they are in the cluster.
-The basic shape of the leaf.
1-Take your finger and trace a basic shape around the leaf. This will be your guide. Draw the shape on your paper.
2-Work within the shape to draw the point curves of the leaf.
3-Add the veins last.
4-Draw the branch.
5-Once again, trace the shapes with you finger and draw that shape on your paper.
6-Fill in the shape using steps 2-3.
7-Add the stems last.
8-Add the last leaf as you did the other three.
9-Add the stems last.
Follow the progression from left to right in order to color in the leaves, branches and stems.
