1-Start with a lightly drawn square as a guide. Draw a tilted square inside the guide as shown. Notice it is not a perfect square, Look at the triangles formed around the outside of the inner square to help with the correct proportions. This is the negative space around the object.Erase areas indicated with dash lines.
2-Draw a parallel line near the top of the square. Add a curve and diagonal near the left as shown.
3-Connect curved line to the parallel line that was drawn in step.Erase dashed area.
4-Connect the lower portion of the curve to the other side of the parallel as shown.
5-Add a trianglular shape inside of the shape drawn in step 4.
6-Follow the contour of the lower edges of the square shape and make the base 3D.
7-Draw calendar pages, curved handles at top and months with days as shown.Use the bottom of the calendar as a quides line to draw the words and numbers at on angle.
8-Shade underneath the top page to indicate shadow and to create
depth.
