Even if you’re not particularly interested in fashion, knowing how to draw clothes and textures comes in handy when you’re drawing human characters. Clothes also play an important part in suggesting personality in an imagined character. When drawing clothes, it’s important to consider the following:
-Fabric is not perfectly straight: It can be creased, with folds and knots, depending on its position.

-Always consider the person’s figure: The fabric will form that shape. Females usually have a curved waistline compared to males.

-Get a 3D effect: Clothing looks 3D on paper when you add folds under the fabric, too.

-There are many ways to design a piece of clothing: You can add layers, play with cuts, and create variations.
